The Way to Hell Looks Pleasant!

Hell is populated with the victims of harmless amusements!

Will men never learn, that the way to Hell is through the Valley of Deceit!

When Satan approaches to charm us, it is not as a grim fiend, gleaming from a ghastly cloud--but as an angel of light, radiant with innocence. His words fall like dew upon the flower--as musical as the crystal-drop warbling from a fountain. Beguiled by his deceits, he leads you to the enchanted ground.

Oh you, who have thought that the way to Hell was . . .
  as bleak and frozen as the Arctic,
  as parched and barren as the Sahara,
  strewed like Golgotha with bones and skulls,
  reeking with stench like the valley of Gehenna
--witness your mistake! The way to Hell looks pleasant! It is a broad highway. The enchanted victim travels on. Startled for a moment, the victim pauses; gazes around upon the flowery scene, and whispers, Is it not harmless? "Harmless," responds a serpent from the grass!

You who are meddling with the edges of vice, you are on this road--and utterly duped by its enchantments! The leprosy is all over you--its blotches and eruptions cover you! Your feet stand on slippery places, whence in due time they shall slide, if you refuse the warning which I raise. They shall slide down to that fiery abyss below you, out of which none ever come!

Grace

Grace! 'tis a charming sound,
Harmonious to the ear!
Heaven with the echo shall resound,
And all the earth shall hear.

Grace first contrived the way
To save rebellious man;
And all the steps that grace display,
Which drew the wondrous plan.

Grace first inscribed my name,
In God's eternal book;
'Twas grace that gave me to the Lamb,
Who all my sorrows took.

Grace led my roving feet
To tread the Heavenly road;
And new supplies, each hour, I meet
While pressing on to God.

Grace taught my soul to pray,
And made my eyes o'erflow;
'Twas grace which kept me to this day,
And will not let me go!

Grace all the work shall crown,
Through everlasting days;
It lays in Heaven the topmost stone,
And well deserves the praise!

Websites and chicken and pigs ~ oh my!

 Greetings from the Alexander family at Alexander Farms,

 We wanted to share three things with you.
1.  We have developed a new website/blog for our farm.  Come check it out at www.visitalexanderfarms.com
There is a lot of new content and we will be posting weekly on various subject.  Starting in January we will share about hatching chicks (including a video where you actually get to see one hatching), recipes, ideas for the home, raising feeder calves and much more.  We are very excited about this coming year and some of the things that we want to make available to you.  You can sign up for email updates on the new site so that you won't miss a thing.

2.  We currently have chicken for saleOh is it good!!!  We just had our first one, from this batch, today for supper and WOW!  it was so tender.  If you are interested in purchasing some good old fashioned farm raised chicken, free from medications, chemicals etc. give us a call. 419-542-6324  We have about 50 birds for sale.  The cost is $2.50 per pound and they weigh 6-8 pounds.  Visit visitalexanderfarms.com   for additional information.

3.  We also have a pig for sale.  If you are interested give us a call at 419-542-6324.  This hog will be ready to go into the butchers in February, so now is the time to schedule the appointment.  Here is how it works.  You call us and let us know that you would like the pig.  We will then call and set up the appointment with the butchers (it usually takes about a month to get it in).  We will take the live pig over to the butchers on the date set.  You will call the butcher and tell him know how you would like the pig processed.  Do not worry if you are new at this, he is very kind and will help you.  When the pork is ready for pick up you will go to the butchers and pick up your meat.  You will be paying him for the processing and us for the pig.  If you are interested we will go over more details when you call.  The price per pound for the hog is $2.50 hanging weight.  We will sell the whole hog or halves.

We look forward to possibly hearing from some of you about chicken and pork and hope you will visit and enjoy our new website.
