Elisabeth Elliot is a favorite author of mine, and I've been so blessed by reading several of her books, including- Passion and Purity, Quest for Love, Path through Loneliness, Keep a Quiet Heart, and Let Me Be a Woman. She is simple and very real in her style, cutting straight to the heart with the truths from God's Word about who He is and what He requires of us as His disciples.
